Riddle: Dark with white markings, And smooth like a rock. Where learning occurs, I help convey thought. What am I?
Answer: Blackboard/chalkboard.
Riddle: There was a farmer making his way to the market with a fox, a chicken, and some grain. He came to a clearing with a stream. He saw a boat nearby, but he could only take one of his items with him. He knew if he took the grain, and left the fox and chicken, the fox would eat the chicken., and if he took the fox, the chicken would eat the grain. How do you get all of them across?
Answer: You take the chicken across, and then go back for the fox. While you are dropping off the fox, take the chicken back, and then get the grain, and take it across. Then go back and get the chicken. Share this with your friends!
Riddle: A detective who was mere days away from cracking an international oil smuggling ring has suddenly gone missing. While inspecting his last-known location, officers find a note: 710 57735 34 5508 51 7718. Currently, there are 3 suspects: Bill, John, and Todd. Can you break the detective's code and find the criminal's name?
Answer: Bill is the suspect if you read upside down the numbers it says: "Bill is boss. He sells oil."
Riddle: A king has no sons, no daughters, and no queen. For this reason, he must decide who will take the throne after he dies. To do this he decides that he will give all of the children of the kingdom a single seed. Whichever child has the largest, most beautiful plant will earn the throne; this is a metaphor for the kingdom. At the end of the contest, all of the children came to the palace with their enormous and beautiful plants in hand. After he looks at all of the children's pots, he finally decides that the little girl with an empty pot will be the next Queen. Why did he choose this little girl over all of the other children with their beautiful plants?
Answer: The king gave them all fake seeds; he chose the little girl who was honest and didn't switch seeds.
Riddle: You and a your friend are trapped in a room. There are two exists (a+b). a) One exist leads to a roaring Inferno with a thin bridge crossing to the other side, but there is a risk that it will fall. b) The other lead to lions which have been satrved for 2 months, so they will eat you and your friend on the spot. Which exist is the safest for you and your friend?
Answer: B is the safest. Taking exist A might gurantee your saftey but not your friend as it will probaby fall under your weight. On the other hand the lion have been starved for two months which probably means they are dead.
Riddle: While exploring the wilds of Canada, Wild Man Dave was captured by hostile wood fairies. Brad, the powerful chief of the fairies told him he could make one final statement that would determine how he would die. If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water. If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil. Wild Man Dave found neither of these options to his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation. What is the one statement he could have made?
Answer: Wild Man Dave said: "You will boil me in water." The fairies were faced with a dilemma. If they boil him in water, that would make his statement true, which means he should have been fried in oil. They can only fry him in oil if he makes a true statement, but if they do, it would make his final statement false. The fairies had no way our of their situation so they were forced to set Wild Man Dave free.
Riddle: A man is walking down a road with a basket of eggs. As he is walking he meets someone who buys one-half of his eggs plus one-half of an egg. He walks a little further and meets another person who buys one-half of his eggs plus one-half of an egg. After proceeding further he meets another person who buys one-half of his eggs plus one half an egg. At this point he has sold all of his eggs, and he never broke an egg. How many eggs did the man have to start with?
Answer: 7 eggs. The first person bought one half of his eggs plus one half an egg (3 1/2 + 1/2 = 4 eggs) This left him 3 eggs. The second person bought one-half of his eggs plus one half an egg, (1 1/2 + 1/2 = 2 eggs) leaving the man 1 egg. The last person bought one-half of his eggs plus one-half an egg, (1/2 + 1/2 = 1 egg) leaving no eggs.
Riddle: 1. Thomas was caught stealing 27 times in one year, yet he was never arrested. How come? 2. A truck driver went three blocks the wrong way down a one-way street without breaking the law. How come? 3. Not a single parent objected when the teacher spanked every child in the class. How come?
Answer: 1. Thomas was a baseball player and was stealing bases. 2. The truck driver was walking. 3. The teacher was in an orphanage school.
Riddle: Old Mr. Tilly was found dead in his study by Mr. Foster. Mr. Foster recounted his dismal discovery to the police. "I was walking by Mr. Tilly`s house when I thought I would just pop in for a visit. I noticed his study light was on and I decided to peek in from the outside to see if he was in there. There was frost on the window, so I had to wipe it away to see inside. That is when I saw his body. So I kicked in the front door to confirm my suspicions of foul play. I called the police immediately afterward." The officer immediately arrested Mr. Foster for the murder of Mr. Tilly. How did he know Mr. Foster was lying?
Answer: Frost forms on the inside of the window, not the outside. So Mr. Foster could not have wiped it off to discover Mr. Tilly`s body.
Riddle: You see me at night, by day you tell everyone about me. I come back looking differently than before. I sometime leave you in the darkness. What am I?
Answer: A dream.
