"Othe" Riddles - Next 10 of 543.

Riddle: A man and his wife were slowly driving along when their teenage son, who had just recently received his driver's license, suddenly drove his car up behind them and started to repeatedly smash into the back of their car, while his sister, who was in the car with him, loudly cheered and egged on her brother. Witnesses to the event appeared unaffected by the incident, and in fact some were even observed smiling. The police were never called. What was going on with this family, and why did no one call the police?
Answer: The man and his wife had taken their two children to an amusement park. The parents were in one bumper car, and their two children were in another bumper car.
Riddle: Not only am I powerful enough to hurt like no other, I also have the power to heal like no other, but just like everything else, I can break. Life would be impossible without me, but it's already near impossible to find me. What am I?
Answer: True love.
Riddle: A judge has a murder case. The person who was murdered has a family member who thinks they found the murderer. The family members' lawyer called up a witness. The lawyer asked where the witness was on the day of the murder. The witness says "Well it was like any other Sunday morning, I got the mail, went to Jill's diner, and then went home and watched cartoons for the rest of the day." The lawyer says "he is lying!" How does the lawyer know the witness is lying?
Answer: The witness says he went to get the mail and there are no mail deliveries on sundays. Also Sunday cartoons are only in the morning so how could the witness be watching them all day?
Riddle: We are three brothers, running behind each other. Always running round our mother: one after the other, yet no matter how fast we run, we never touches each other. What are we?

Riddle: Sally Johnson called 911 when she first noticed Theodore was missing, but the operator told her there was nothing the police could do until Theodore was missing for at least 24 hours. The 911 operator told Miss Johnson that Theodore would probably be found because, based on the description Sally had given of Theodore, the operator felt Theodore was not the type to run away from home. However, Miss Johnson wasn't willing to wait that long, so she sent her German shepherd dog out to look for him, after she had first let the dog have a sniff of the tiny sweater she had dressed Theodore in earlier that day. However, when the dog returned without Theodore, Sally considered calling the F.B.I., as she started thinking little Theodore might have been kidnapped. No ransom note or telephone call was received by Miss Johnson that day, however, so Sally began to systematically search her house. After frantically searching, Miss Johnson finally found Theodore in her basement --- in the washing machine --- still wet, after apparently having gone through a complete washing cycle! Why was the 911 operator so cavalier about the missing Theodore? Should D.C.F.S. be notified to investigate? Where was the adult supervision; or is there a simpler explanation for these events?
Answer: Miss Sally Johnson was a seven-year-old child who watched a lot of T.V (especially police and detective shows), and had a vivid imagination. When she lost her teddy bear (Theodore), she never considered the possibility her mother had put him in the washing machine for a much-needed cleaning, as it had become soiled from Sally’s frequent use.
Riddle: Two women sit staring and glaring at each other across a small table. Although the two women don't appear to be friendly toward each other, they do eventually hold each other's hands. A man approaches, puts his hand on top of theirs, and says to them, "I hope I don't have to use the strap on you two." A few seconds later he quickly removes his hand, and shouts out one word to the women. Both women immediately become very tense. What is the word the man shouts to the women, and what in the world is going on here?
Answer: The word the man shouts to the women is, "Go!" This is the way most women's arm wrestling competitions start, and hopefully the wrist straps, to keep their hands from slipping apart, won't have to be used.
Riddle: There is a door, on the side of the door that you are on, there is a skeletal army ready to trample you underneath their feet, on the other side is a city with a wall that will keep you safe. You need to get in the door but there is some sort of code to get into safety; one man goes to the door, and the doorkeeper says "eight" and the man says "five" he lets him in. The second man goes up to the door and the doorkeeper says "nine" and the second man says "four", and he lets him in. Finally, it's your turn, you only get one chance to guess. The doorkeeper says "twenty one". What do you say to get to safety?
Answer: You would say "nine" as, 21 is nine letters long. It's quite simple actually. Eight is five letters long hence "five" and nine is four letters long hence the word "four".
Riddle: I am a two-digit number. All my digits are even. No two digits are the same. None of my digits are prime numbers. I am not a multiple of ten. My tens digit is bigger than my other numbers. If you followed all the previous steps, there should be three options remaining the number is the option where if you add all the digits it's exactly in the middle (in how big the number is) of all the other options with their digits added together. What number am I?
Answer: If you followed all the steps apart from the last one there will be three options remaining: 64, 84, and 86. You then had to add up the digits, 64=6+4=10, 84=8+4=12, and 86=8+6=14. Finally, you then had to take up the middle biggest number (12) and put it back as it was before the digits were added together and your answer should be 84.
Riddle: My author's uncertain yet my title's the same, I contain random text yet order's my aim. Read me one day and see my pages are totally bare. Try again another day and the words will be there. I'm not a book of magic although it may sound, I can predict the future, and inside, your life can be found. Move my eye, I become involved in lactic extraction. But that's just a clue, a minor distraction. What am I?
Answer: A diary.
