Riddle:
There are two cliffs. They are each attached by a suspension bridge that takes 5 minutes to walk across, and is the only way to get to the other side. No one is allowed to cross the bridge unless authorized. There is a guard on the other side that takes a nap every 5 minutes, then keeps watch for 5 minutes, takes a nap for 5 minutes, and so on. Let's say you don't have authorization. How would you get across (Remember, he wakes up EXACTLY after 5 minutes, meaning if you go on the bridge the second he takes a nap, and you cross the bridge, he'll wake up exactly when you reach the other side, and send you back)?
Answer: You can't go as he is awake, he'll see you, but go when he doesn't see you. Then, turn back as he is waking up, pretending to go to the side you came from. Then, he'll figure you are unauthorized to set foot on the bridge, and send you to the side you want to get to.
Riddle:
Joel Jones Jr. has been told he must sit in his high chair for hours on end. His parents do not provide him with anything to eat or drink while he is sitting there, and he is told he must stay awake at all times while in his chair. He has also been instructed to immediately climb down from his high chair whenever he hears anyone screaming for help, and then get to the nearest water. Are these some kind of sick, twisted, abusive parents? Should D.C.F.S. be called, or is there some logical explanation for these bizarre instructions; and what possible occupation is being described?
Answer: Joel Jones Jr. works as a lifeguard at a public swimming pool.
Riddle:
A king decided to let a prisoner try to escape the prison with his life. The king placed 2 marbles in a jar that was glued to a table. One of the marbles was supposed to be black, and one was supposed to be blue. If the prisoner could pick the blue marble, he would escape the prison with his life. If he picked the black marble, he would be executed. However, the king was very mean, and he wickedly placed 2 black marbles in the jars and no blue marbles. The prisoner witnessed the king only putting 2 black marbles in the jars. If the jar was not see-through and the jar was glued to the table and the prisoner was mute so he could not say anything, how did he escape with his life?
Answer: The prisoner grabbed one of the marbles from the jar and concealed it in his hand. He then swallowed it, and picked up the other marble and showed everyone. The marble was black, and since the other marble was swallowed, it was assumed to be the blue one. So the mean king had to set him free
Riddle:
I am a two-digit number. All my digits are even. No two digits are the same. None of my digits are prime numbers. I am not a multiple of ten. My tens digit is bigger than my other numbers. If you followed all the previous steps, there should be three options remaining the number is the option where if you add all the digits it's exactly in the middle (in how big the number is) of all the other options with their digits added together. What number am I?
Answer: If you followed all the steps apart from the last one there will be three options remaining: 64, 84, and 86. You then had to add up the digits, 64=6+4=10, 84=8+4=12, and 86=8+6=14. Finally, you then had to take up the middle biggest number (12) and put it back as it was before the digits were added together and your answer should be 84.
