Answer: A screw.

Answer: 14 horses and 8 men. 14x4 plus 8x2 = 72 feet.
Riddle: This thing devours all things. All man, all beasts, all flowers and trees. Even the fiery sun, and the shadowy moon, will one day be devoured by this thing. Stone it grinds, metal it bites. And it shall make wood rot. Is it powerful? Well it is rather not, but it kills powerful things a lot. Its immortal yet it is not some type of god. What is it?

Riddle: A man was found dead in his study. He was slumped over his desk and a gun was in his hand. There was a cassette recorder on his desk. When the police entered the room and pressed the play button on the tape recorder they heard: "I can't go on. I have nothing to live for." Then there was the sound of a gunshot. How did the detective immediately know that the man had been murdered and it wasn't a suicide?
Answer: The cassette had started at the beginning of the man's utterance. Someone else had to be there to rewind the tape.
Riddle: I can fly but have no wings. I can cry but I have no eyes. Wherever I go, darkness follows me. What am I?
Answer: Clouds.
Riddle: I have hands, but I cannot clap. What am I?
Answer: A clock!
Riddle: Why did mom test the bath water before putting Silly Billy in?
Answer: To prevent son-burn.
Riddle: Lynn likes grapes but not potatoes. She likes squash but not lettuce, and she likes peas but not onions. Following the same rule, will she like pumpkins or apples?
Answer: Pumpkins. Lynn only likes things that grow on vines.
