Riddle: Sofia is a student in high school. Her professor, Ms. Davis, assigned her an essay that would be due in three days. Sofia, being the worst student in her class, procrastinates and doesn't even begin the essay. Three days later, Sofia begs Ms. Davis to push the essay date back by five more days, and Ms. Davis agrees. Five days go by, and still…no essay. Sofia begs Ms. Davis to push the essay date back by a week, and Ms. Davis agrees. One week later, Sofia comes to the class with a burning candle (How did she even bring it in there?), but no essay. Sofia asks Ms. Davis if she can push the essay back until the candle wick burns out, and Ms. Davis agrees once again. Sofia laughs because she doesn't have to ever worry about the essay again. Why?
Answer: Sofia blew out the candle. She said, "until the candle wick burns out", NOT, "until the flame burns out". Therefore, Sofia can keep the candle unburned forever and never submit her essay.

Riddle: There is a very popular restaurant in the city, called Da Good Burger. It's slogan is strangely called "Served 49 times'. A girl named Sarah coincidentally is the forty-ninth customer in that particular restaurant. When Sarah finally gets her burger, the cashier tells the people behind her that they should go back to their seats so they can make the burgers again. Like any agitated and hungry customer, the rest of them complain, but trundle back to their seats. When the burgers are ready again, Sarah is--you guessed it--the forty-ninth person in line, and she is still always the last person to get her burger while the others behind her get mad. How does she do it?
Answer: The slogan "Served 49 times" literally means that the burgers are served 49 times before they have to cook them again, which takes about thirty minutes, since the food is pre-made. Sarah cleverly learned this trick and skips to the forty-ninth spot. Mostly because she enjoys being the last person to get the burger while the people behind her complain.

Riddle: What starts with E, ends with E, but only contains one letter?
Answer: It's an envelope! You have to think about it literally; an "envelope" begins with E, ends with E, and only contains one letter–the "letter" is the letter you type/write. Some people believe it could be "eye" or "Eve" or "ewe", however, those things contain THREE letters (yes, you have to count the E's in each word because E is also a letter).
