Truck And Seagull

Riddle: A truck is traveling south down a road after he fills up on gas. Once he does his truck in total with him in the truck and all luggage weighs exactly 4 tonnes. About an hour later he approaches a bridge with a sign that reads, "WARNING: bridge holds only 4 tonnes!!" so the truck driver just drives right on. Once in the middle of the bridge a seagull flies along and lands on the truck. Why does the bridge not collapse??
Answer: As said in the riddle the driver was driving for an hour before reaching the bridge therefore losing weight of gas during travel making the truck lighter.
