Riddle: a boy and a girl were picking apples. when they finished they walked back to their house. they stopped and ate half the apples plus a half apple. they went walking againh and stopped. they ate half the rest of the apples and a half apple. so they went on and stopped. they ate half the rest of the apples plus a half apple. when they got home they only had one apple left. how many apples did they start off with???
