Riddle: You have two ropes of uneven width that each take an hour to burn out (if you have trouble visualising this just know that 30 min won't be exactly in the middle, and 20 min won't be a third, etc.). How do you measure 45 min with these two ropes and fire?
Answer: You set fire to both ends of one rope but only one end of the other. When the first rope burns out it will have been 30min. When this happens, you set fire to the other side of the other rope. After that burns out, in 15min, it will have been 45min.
Riddle: Helen went to a summer camp with her best friends. One day, the friends had to tell each other fun facts about themselves. Helen told her friends, "I was born on February 29th, so I have four times fewer birthdays than you guys. This year, I turned 17,". Helen's friends laughed at her and called her out for lying. Why?
Answer: February 29th only happens once every four years. Helen couldn't celebrate her 17th birthday on her actual birthday because this number can't be divided by four. So, either she wasn't born on February 29th, or she's not 17.

Riddle: A king has no sons, no daughters, and no queen. For this reason, he must decide who will take the throne after he dies. To do this he decides that he will give all of the children of the kingdom a single seed. Whichever child has the largest, most beautiful plant will earn the throne; this being a metaphor for the kingdom. At the end of the contest, all of the children came to the palace with their enormous and beautiful plants in hand. After he looks at all of the children's pots, he finally decides that the little girl with an empty pot will be the next Queen. Why did he choose this little girl over all of the other children with their beautiful plants?
Answer: The king gave them all fake seeds and the little girl was the only honest child who didn't switch seeds.
