Riddle: 3 people go to a hotel is cost 30$. they each pay 10$. the clerk realizes o no they only should have paid 25$. so he gives 5$ to the bell boy. they bell boy a thief so he steal 2$. he gives the guys 3$ and say is only costed 27$.
so why doesnt this work?
3*9=27+2=29
3 people * the amount paid + the thief's 2 should =30$

you shouldn't add the two since the two is already in the 27 so you subtract the two and add the total 5.
