The King's Daugter

Riddle: 2 princes want to marry a princess, but the king (a.k.a. the princesses dad) wants his daughter to only marry ONE prince. The king proposes that they have a race to see who will wed his child, and the princes agree. " but there is a catch..." the king says, "...whoever's horse gets there LAST will win.". The princes get on a horse and start riding as fast as they possibly can. Now remember, both princes did hear the king AND they both love the princess. Why did they go fast?
Answer: they jumped on each other's horse and rode. Remeber the king said whoever's HORSE gets there last wins! That means that the owner of the horse first loses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
