Skyscraper Janitor

Riddle: There is a janitor that works at a 100 floor skyscraper. Every day he starts by cleaning the 100th floor. On sunny days the janitor goes up the first 50 floors on the elivator and the next 50 floors on the stairs. On rainy days he goes up all 100 floors on the elevator.....Why is this?
Answer: The janitor is unusually short and on sunny days he can only reach to the 50th floor button. However on rainy days he pokes the 100th floor button with his umbrella.
