Riddle: A person went to bed at 10:00pm and woke up at 8:00am. The person only got 9 hours of sleep. Explain this. Note, he did not get up in the middle of the night.
Answer: Over night daylight saving went forward 1 hour. So right when the clock struck 12:00am. It became 1:00am.
