Riddle: My veins of green may go unseen, Til on the ground I lay around. What am I?
Answer: "Leaves" - Reasoning: Leaves contain veins to transport water through the leaf, and as people would need to be up close to see them. Hence, these veins go unseen as they spend most of their time up in trees attached to branches. You only really get to see them when they fall to the ground.

Riddle: The Mills family had traveled to their vacation cabin which was next to a large, beautiful lake in the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Mills and their three children, Brock (age 6), Cindy (age 7), and Susan (age 8) had come to the lake to relax for the weekend. They were all looking forward to taking a long, relaxing swim in the lake, and to try out the brand new boat Mr. Mills had just purchased for some family fun. As they were swimming near the middle of the lake, it dawned on Mr. Mills that their son Brock was not in the water with them. Suddenly, with no warning, the family heard motor sounds and saw their newly-purchased boat speeding directly toward them, accompanied by the maniacal laughter of their missing child, Brock. Again and again, Brock drove the boat directly at his vulnerable family, laughing insanely each time it passed near them. "I told Brock not to go near that boat unless I was with him," shouted Mr. Mills, "and now he's trying to kill us with it!" However, Mrs. Mills nonchalantly responded, "Oh, boys will be boys." Considering the circumstances, why was Mrs. Mills so cavalier concerning her son's disobedient and reckless behavior, and why did she seem unconcerned about her six-year-old driving a boat without supervision?
Answer: Mr. Mills had bought the family a new remote controlled boat, but bad boy Brock decided to ignore his father’s instructions, and sent the two-foot long boat on its maiden voyage as a mischievous prank on his family. I don’t envy Brock when his father reaches shore.
Riddle: A carpenter built a new house on some property he owned. When he went to inspect his new house, he observed a large animal had taken up residence in the new house. However, the carpenter was not surprised by this. He made no attempt to chase the large animal from the house, nor did he call animal control to have the animal removed. In fact, he provided food and water to the animal on an ongoing basis at his own expense. Why wasn't the carpenter upset about the animal living in his newly built house?
Answer: The new house the carpenter had just built was a dog house. He built it for the new dog he had just purchased ----- a massive Saint Bernard.
Riddle: My Grandpa Joe is nearly a hundred years old, and he has been experiencing some memory loss recently. Around breakfast time the other day, he was in the kitchen, and couldn’t find something he was desperately hunting. “Where are those delicious little puffs of goodness your mother always keeps in here?” he asked me. “You know, the ones that sound like they came out of a swamp; you know, those tasty little cylinders made of sugar, water, corn syrup, gelatin, and glucose. How does your mother expect me to have my morning cup of cocoa?” he asked in a frustrated manner. “I am looking for those white things which are often found out in the woods near campfires. Why, there was even a giant one I saw last week when I was watching that original Ghostbusters movie with you,” said Grandpa Joe. With the help of all the clues he had just given me, I was able to locate the items my grandfather had been seeking. Can you tell me what those items were?
Answer: They sound like they come from a Swamp because they are: MARSH MALLOWS.
Riddle: Dynamite is a tool that can be used to cut down trees. Cutting a tree 18 inches in diameter requires five sticks of dynamite: one on the north, south, east and west sides of the tree, and the fifth stick on the side to which the tree should fall. During the construction of a dam, a tree 18 inches in diameter was completely covered by water. Since the treetop was fouling the boat's propellers, it had to be cut down. A diver went down and put a stick of dynamite on the four sides of the tree. Since the current is flowing south at 2 knots per hour, on which side of the tree would you instruct the diver to put the fifth stick of dynamite if you wanted the tree to fall north?
Answer: It doesn't matter where the fifth stick is placed, since the tree won't fall in any direction. Being wood, it will float and rise to the surface.

Answer: Take a thin piece of tissue paper and place the tissue paper under the needle before putting the needle in the water. The tissue paper will eventually sink and the needle will remain floating.
